Juniors

Where the next generation of underwater hockey players begin. Our Sunday sessions focus on water confidence, safe technique, teamwork, and real game skills. Building pathways from first session all the way to BOA Junior Regionals, Nationals, and beyond to GB U19 and U24 selection.

Safeguarding & welfare

We take the safety and wellbeing of every junior player seriously. Our approach is aligned with BOA guidance and good practice.

  • DBS-checked coaches

All junior coaches hold valid DBS checks. Sessions are supervised and structured for safety.

  • Parent/guardian registration

Under-18 players require parent or guardian-led registration, including declaration of any relevant medical conditions (BOA-aligned).

  • Clear welfare contact

Our Club Welfare Officer is Alan Underwood Speak to any coach poolside or contact Alan directly with any concerns.

  • Risk management

We follow BOA-aligned controlled risk and club risk assessment approaches to keep sessions safe and well-managed.

  • Player-focused environment

Safe learning, confidence building, positive coaching, and respectful conduct for everyone in the pool.

  • Concussion awareness

We follow BOA concussion guidance. If in doubt, sit it out - safety always comes first.

  • Data privacy

Registration details are handled carefully and used only for club administration and welfare purposes.
